NEW FACES Derek Landers has been hired as lead designer by 14Four, a Web design firm. He holds a degree in graphic design from Spokane Falls Community College and has 10 years of design experience.

Julie Weaver has been hired as a sales associate by Windermere North Realty.

Unicep Packaging of Sandpoint has hired Lynda Patalano as marketing manager. She previously worked as the Northwest regional merchandise manager for DKNY.

Ann Hunter has been hired as a real estate loan officer at Idaho Independent Bank’s Coeur d’Alene branch. She has 21 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Northwest Mechanical Engineering has hired engineer Steffen Teichmann to lead its new electrical engineering department.

He earned his degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and is a licensed electrical engineer in three states.

Larry Dean has been hired by Windermere North Realty as a sales associate.

Alycia Staggs has been hired by 14Four as a graphic designer/developer. She holds a degree in graphic design from Spokane Falls Community College.

PROMOTIONS Robert Sestero Jr. has been promoted to partner at Evans, Craven & Lackie.

KUDOS Medical Lake Municipal Court Presiding Judge Richard Kayne was recently given the Judge Bob Jones Memorial Award for significant contributions for judicial education at the 2007 American Judges Association annual conference. He was the dean of the 2007 Washington State Judicial College and is on the faculty of the State and National Judicial Colleges. He is a 1977 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law.

Wilbert Precast was recently awarded the Top Gun Award for sales of Redi-Rock International Products. Only six other companies in the United States and Canada received the sales award.

Jan-Pro Cleaning Systems of Spokane was recently inducted into the company’s President’s Silver Club, based on annual sales growth between $750,000 and $1 million. The Spokane location is owned by Gary Critzer.

LeeAnn Reiter of XRE Real Estate recently completed the e-Pro certification offered by the National Association of Realtors.

APPOINTED Jodi Ward, of Veradale, has been appointed to a three-year term on the State Interagency Coordinating Council for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and their Families by Gov. Chris Gregoire. Ward is on the Arc of Spokane board of directors. The council helps the Department of Social and Health Services and other agencies coordinate and develop policies dealing with early intervention services.

Sue Sawyer, of Spokane, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Physical Therapy Board by Gov. Chris Gregoire.

Sawyer is a retired elementary school teacher and librarian. The board establishes continuing education requirements and standards of professional conduct.
