Area Roundup: Gonzaga ties for fifth at Bill Cullum Invitational

Gonzaga’s Brandon Crick tied for fourth with a three-round total of 214 to lead the Bulldog men’s golf team to a fifth-place finish at the Bill Cullum Invitational Tuesday at Wood Ranch Golf Course in Simi Valley, Calif.

“The Eastern Washington University women took fourth place at the Aztec Fall Classic at Salt Creek Golf Course in Chula Vista, Calif.

Kristina Gargaro lead the Eagles, finishing tied for seventh with a two-round total of 150.

Women’s soccer

Alli Krous and Justine Jones scored two goals apiece to lead Walla Walla to a 4-2 non-conference win over visiting North Idaho.

Megan Wells and Ashlee Barton scored for the Cardinals, who were the first team to score off Walla Walla this season.

NIC dropped to 7-5-3 while Walla Walla improved to 15-0-1.

The af2 Spokane Shock have added offensive lineman Ryan Belcher, defensive lineman Derron Ware and fullback Ken Williams to their 2008 roster.
