BRUCE DAVIS, UCLA DEFENSIVE END

Getting upfield and pressuring the quarterback is what Davis does best. He had 12.5 sacks last season, tied for the Pac-10 lead and enough to earn him All-American recognition. This year has been similar, with the senior from Houston leading the Bruins with 6.5 sacks (second in the Pac-10) and 7.5 tackles for loss.

MICHAEL BUMPUS, WSU RECEIVER

With five games remaining, the senior from Los Angeles will break the longest-lasting major Cougars record, Hugh Campbell’s career reception mark of 176 set in 1962. With a team-leading 41 catches this season, Bumpus is 10 behind Campbell and could get the record this week if UCLA keys on Brandon Gibson and Charles Dillon.

BRANDON BREAZELL, UCLA RECEIVER

The senior was headed to Pullman out of Edison High in Fresno, Calif., but when UCLA offered a scholarship, his mother wanted him to stay closer to home. In his four years in Westwood he’s caught 78 passes (31 this season) for 1,234 yards and 11 touchdowns.
