Auditions

“Eastern Standard” – North Idaho College Theater Department, today, 7-9 p.m. in Boswell Hall on the Coeur d’Alene campus. Auditioners must be prepared to read cold from the script. Needed: three men and two women in their late 20s and one woman in her 50s or 60s. The play includes strong language and adult themes. Performances will be Oct. 25-Nov. 3. Call (208) 769-3220.

“Christmas Schooner” – Spokane Civic Theatre, Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at the theater, 1020 N. Howard. Auditioners must perform a memorized verse and chorus from a Broadway musical, plus read cold from the script. Needed: four women ages 18-60, six men ages 18-60, two boys ages 9-15 and one girl age 10-12. Performances will be Nov. 16-Dec. 16. Call (509) 325-1413.

“The Will of Fortune” – CenterStage, Monday and Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the theater, 1017 W. First. Auditioners must prepare a two-minute monologue and improvisation will be required. Kinderchoir – Auditions will be Monday, Tuesday and Sept. 17-18 for the yearlong children’s chorus program, which accepts singers in grades 2-12. Tuition ranges from $90-$100 per semester. Call (509) 744-0875 for an audition appointment.

Sumi-e and Japanese Calligraphy – Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon beginning next Thursday and running through Dec. 13 at Spokane Art Supply, 1303 N. Monroe. Spokane Watercolor Society – Artists are needed for the society’s 12th annual regional juried water media exhibition at the downtown Spokane Public Library, Sept. 29-Oct. 26. Call (509) 464-1434.

ArtReach – Artists are needed to teach in the Spokane Art School’s ArtReach program, which offers ongoing off-site classes in cooperation with local after-school programs. Those interested should submit a resume and current work samples at the school, 920 N. Howard. Call (509) 328-0900, ext. 203.
