Boys soccer

Cameron Vandall scored two first-half goals and Robby Astin added a goal and four assists as Coeur d’Alene blanked Lewiston 6-0 in Inland Empire League soccer action Thursday in Lewiston.

Jordan Eborall, Jason Vetsch and Forrest Walker also scored for the Vikings (9-0, 5-0), who held a 30-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Cody Arrasmith made 19 saves for Lewiston (0-8, 0-5).

In other league play, Mike Eggleston scored in the first half and Nick Lenihan added a second-half goal as Lake City shutout visiting Post Falls 2-0. The Timberwolves (4-2, 3-1) played solid defense, holding the Trojans (2-3-1, 1-3-1) to just five shots on goal. Scott Frasier saved five shots for Lake City. … Moscow scored four goals within the first 10 minutes and cruised to an easy 7-1 win over Lakeland (0-6-1, 0-4-1) in Rathdrum. The Bears (6-2, 3-2) dominated, outshooting the Hawks 33-6. Caleb Gerber scored Moscow’s lone goal in the 47th minute.

Volleyball

Kristyn App had 12 kills and seven blocks and Breezy Stecker dished out 25 assists as Lakeland topped host Post Falls in Inland Empire League play. Alli Whitted added a match-high seven aces for the Hawks (2-2). Jalana White and Brittani Attwood had four aces apiece for the Trojans (0-3). … Elsewhere in the IEL, Coeur d’Alene (3-1) beat host Lewiston 25-7, 25-15, 11-25, 25-5. Jessica Ulrich had nine kills and Rachel Fike added 17 assists to lead the Bengals (2-3).

“Shawna Heath had a match-high 10 kills and Michelle Guidry added 24 assists as St. Maries downed visiting Timberlake (0-2) 25-6, 25-6, 25-7 in Intermountain League action. Paula Robinson-Blumel added 12 digs for the Lumberjacks (4-0). … Also in the Intermountain League, Amber Trost had a match-high nine kills and Alicia Schanilec added 24 digs as Priest River (2-1) defeated host Bonners Ferry (0-3) 25-23, 25-14, 25-20. Lacey Hopkins added six aces and three blocks for the Spartans.

Girls soccer

Marlee Elmer, Aly Houghton and Emma Hawn all scored goals as Lake City shut out Post Falls 4-0 in Inland Empire League play in Post Falls. Shannon Fraser saved 10 shots for the Timberwolves (5-2-1, 3-1), who held an 18-11 advantage in shots over the Trojans (0-6-2, 0-5-1). … Elsewhere in the IEL, Kenna Gardes had a goal and an assist, leading Moscow to a 3-1 win over visiting Lakeland (2-6-1, 1-4-1). Hayley Couture saved eight shots for the Bears (4-3, 2-3). Moscow outshot the Hawks 13-9.
