Mets 6, Braves 3: At New York, Mike Pelfrey pitched a three-hitter for his first career complete game and David Wright homered to lead the Mets over Atlanta.
Brewers 5, Astros 2: At Milwaukee, Manny Parra won for the first time since July 20, J.J. Hardy hit a two-run homer and the Brewers defeated Houston.
Phillies 4, Nationals 0: At Philadelphia, Brett Myers tossed a nine-hitter for his first shutout in four years and the Phillies handed Washington its 12th straight loss.
Cardinals 11, Pirates 2: At St. Louis, Rick Ankiel and Jason LaRue hit two-run home runs to power the Cardinals by Pittsburgh.
Diamondbacks 8, Padres 6: At Phoenix, Adam Dunn hit his league-leading 34th home run, his second in as many games, and Arizona held off San Diego.
Rockies 4, Dodgers 3: At Los Angeles, Brad Hawpe had three RBIs, including singles that drove in the tying and go-ahead runs, and Colorado capitalized on four errors by the Dodgers in a victory.
Giants 6, Marlins 5: At San Francisco, Bengie Molina’s sacrifice fly with one out in the bottom of the ninth carried the Giants over Florida.
