The wait is over for Jack Zduriencik to pull off his first trade as general manager of the Seattle Mariners.

The Mariners have agreed to a deal sending right-handed closer J.J. Putz (in photo) to the New York Mets in a three-team, 12-player trade.

In return, Seattle receives pitcher Aaron Heilman, outfielder Endy Chavez, pitcher Jason Vargas and three minor leaguers from the Mets along with Cleveland outfielder Franklin Gutierrez.

Seattle would send Putz, outfielder Jeremy Reed and reliever Sean Green to New York, while Cleveland gets reliever Joe Smith from the Mets and second baseman Luis Valbuena from Seattle.
