Griffin sparks Oklahoma

Blake Griffin had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the fifth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (9-0) to a 78-52 victory over the Maine Black Bears (5-5) on Wednesday in Norman, Okla.

Griffin made his first six shots and finished 11 of 13 from the field. The 6-foot-10 sophomore recorded his seventh double-double of the season. He played 22 minutes and 14 of his points came on dunks.

(10) Xavier 78, Ohio 56: C.J. Anderson scored a career-high 22 and Derrick Brown added 18 points to lead the Musketeers (8-0) past the RedHawks (4-4) in Cincinnati.

Jerome Randle scored 21 points and hit a 3-pointer with 6.1 seconds left to lead the California Golden Bears (7-2) to a 72-69 win over the Utah Utes (5-3) in Salt Lake City.

Arizona 69, San Diego State 56: Jordan Hill scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season to lead the Wildcats (6-2) to a win over the Aztecs (7-2) in Tucson, Ariz.

Brigham Young 94, Boise State 56: Jimmer Fredette scored a career-high 23 points and the Cougars (9-0) routed the Broncos (6-2) in Provo, Utah.

Stephany Skrba scored four of her 20 points in overtime to help the Michigan Wolverines (6-4) beat the eighth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish 60-59 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Valparaiso 71, (21) Purdue 60: Agnieszka Kulaga scored 17 points and Aimee Litka added 13, including a 3-pointer that ignited a 19-5 spurt to end the game and give the Crusaders (4-2) an upset win over the Boilermakers (5-4) in Valparaiso, Ind.
