Eastern faces Kangaroos

Eastern Washington starts another hectic run tonight at Reese Court when it entertains Missouri-Kansas City in the first of three games scheduled the next five days.

Tipoff is set for 7:05, and the Eagles (6-3) will try to bounce back from last Saturday’s 75-55 road loss to Hawaii against the Kangaroos (4-8), who are coming off a 77-62 road loss to Northwestern on Monday. Missouri-KC is paced by Dane Brumagin, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, who is averaging just more than 17 points per game.

Eastern will play its second game since guards Adris DeLeon and Chris Busch regained their eligibility last week. Both are expected to play more substantial roles tonight than they did in Saturday’s loss to Hawaii.

Junior guard Benny Valentine, who posted his first career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds against Hawaii, continues to lead the Eagles’ offense with an average of just less than 19 points per game.

Following tonight’s game, Eastern travels to Seattle to play the University of Washington on Saturday, before returning home to entertain Evergreen State on Monday.
