Old Dominion wins 17th tournament title in a row

T.J. Jordan and Tiffany Green each scored 15 points and No. 14 Old Dominion rallied from an 18-point deficit to win its 17th consecutive Colonial Athletic Association tournament championship with a 71-64 victory over Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday in Newark, Del.

Jazzmin Walters contributed 12 points and Shahida Williams, the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, had 10 for the top-seeded Lady Monarchs (29-4), who improved to 50-0 in CAA tournament games since joining the league before the 1991-92 season.

Krystal Vaughn and D’Andra Moss scored 16 points each and Radoslava Bachvarova added 15 for VCU (25-7), which had already set a school record for victories.

Cornell 64, Dartmouth 47: At New York, Moina Snyder and Jeomi Maduka each scored 14 points to help the Big Red (20-8) beat the Big Green (15-15) and win the Ivy League title.

Liberty 66, Radford 65: At Asheville, N.C., Megan Frazee scored the game-winning basket with 0.3 seconds left and had 24 points, helping the Lady Flames (28-3) beat the Highlanders (23-11) to win their 11th Big South Championship in 12 years.

Robert Morris 86, Long Island 75: At Moon Township, Pa., Sade Logan scored 18 points to lead the Colonials (23-9) past the Blackbirds (24-8) in the Northeast Conference championship.

Illinois State 70, Drake 62: At St. Charles, Mo., Kristi Cirone scored 20 points to lead the Redbirds (26-6) over the Bulldogs (22-10) in the championship of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Cleveland State 70, Wright State 56: At Green Bay, Wis., Kailey Klein had 29 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Vikings (19-13) past the Raiders (16-16) in the Horizon League championship.

Hartford 61, Boston University 45: At West Hartford, Conn., Lisa Etienne scored 19 points to help the Hawks (27-5) defeat the Terriers (20-12) for the America East championship.
