Reports: Hawks adding ‘Edge’

The Seahawks are on the brink of adding an Edge to their running game.

The team reached an agreement with running back Edgerrin James on a one-year contract, which was first reported by ProFootballTalk.com and later confirmed by two other media reports.

James’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not return calls, and a spokesman said the team would not comment Monday and that the speculation of James’ arrival will be addressed after practice today.

James, 31, ranks 11th in career rushing in the NFL, but he is coming off the least productive season of his career.
