RECORD: 12-11 overall, 4-7 Pac-10
COMING UP: Today vs. Oregon, 7 p.m.; Saturday vs. Oregon State, 4 p.m., FSN
OUTLOOK: Oregon’s Ducks are trying to avoid the ignominy suffered by Oregon State last season: a winless Pac-10 season (UO is 6-17, 0-11). Since WSU converted all 28 of its free throws in a 74-62 win in Oregon, the Ducks have played with more abandon, led by junior guard Tajuan Porter. Porter has averaged 19 points in the six games since, raising his scoring average to 14.7. OSU’s Beavers (10-12, 4-7), under first-year head coach Craig Robinson, extended WSU to overtime in the first game and have posted conference wins over USC, California, Oregon and Stanford.
