At a glance: Eastern Washington Eagles

RECORD: 8-7 overall, 2-1 Big Sky Conference

COMING UP: Today vs. Idaho State, 7:05 p.m.; Sunday vs. Weber State, 1:05 p.m.

OUTLOOK: Idaho State comes into Reese Court having lost six of its last eight games, with the two wins coming at home against Idaho and Northern Colorado by a total of three points. Still, EWU coach Kirk Earlywine remains cautious, mainly because of the matchup problems the Bengals create on the perimeter with 6-foot-6 junior Morgan Amorrow (13.4 ppg) and 6-6 senior Matt Stucki (11.3 ppg). “Those two are as good as any players in our league,” Earlywine said. In Northern Colorado, the Eagles will face a team with a scoring average of 73.1 ppg that is second only to league-leading Portland State’s 75.6.
