Arrested New Orleans Saints wide receiver Biren Ealy and tight end Kolomona Kapanui were charged Sunday with obscenity, disturbing the peace and lewd conduct for allegedly being drunk, urinating in public and exposing themselves in River Ridge, La. Two women, who weren’t identified, were riding in a vehicle when they reportedly saw Ealy and Kapanui urinating in the parking lot of an apartment complex about 12:42 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Authorities said Ealy turned around while exposing himself and began making lewd comments. Moments later, Kapanui allegedly exposed himself to the driver of the vehicle and made lewd comments, the sheriff’s office said.

Sidelined Starting guard Courtney Lee will not travel with the Orlando Magic to Boston as he recovers from surgery on his fractured sinus. Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said he hoped Lee would fly to Boston with a team doctor today to watch Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Celtics.

Honored Nuggets vice president of basketball operations Mark Warkentien has been named the NBA’s executive of the year after Denver pulled off getting better while shedding millions of dollars in salary and luxury tax. Warkentien was the architect of the biggest deal in the NBA this season, trading Allen Iverson and his big contract for Chauncey Billups. The move sparked Denver’s franchise-tying 54-win regular season and the Nuggets’ first playoff series win in 15 years.
