Idaho negates Nevada
Idaho, which played 18 of its first 20 matches on the road, opened up a four-game homestand by sweeping Nevada 3-0 in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday night.
After a tight opener (25-21), the Vandals (10-11, 6-3) closed out the Wolf Pack (7-14, 3-5) 25-16, 25-17.
Sarah Conwell had her 10th double-double of the season for the Vandals with 13 kills and 11 digs. UI, which leads the nation in blocks, had 13.
•After dropping the first set, 22nd-ranked San Diego reeled off three straight to defeat Gonzaga at the Martin Centre. Ali Troost led a trio of players with double-figure kills with 18 for the Torreros (13-4, 5-1).
Layne Brosky had 12 kills and Allyson Powell added 15 digs for GU (7-12, 3-3).
