TACOMA – Angela Woods scored 12 points and Ashley Albertson had 10 to help Edmonds-Woodway beat Moses Lake 44-38 to take fifth place in the State 4A girls basketball tournament Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.

The Warriors (25-3) won despite scoring just four points – all on free throws – in the fourth quarter.

Moses Lake (17-14) cut a 40-29 deficit after three quarters to 40-38 with 4:30 remaining, but the Chiefs went scoreless the rest of the game. The Chiefs twice missed on 3-pointers that could have tied the game in the final minute.

Woods scored nine points in the second half for Edmonds-Woodway, which had no seniors on its roster.
