One-pickup crash in Idaho sends driver to Sacred Heart
A Kellogg man was in satisfactory condition this morning following a one-vehicle rollover accident on Coeur d’Alene River Road.
Jerrod L. Baugh, 27, was taken to Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg and then moved to Sacred Heart Medical Center, according to Idaho State Police.
He was traveling north on the river road at milepost 1 about 4 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. His 2004 Dodge pickup went off the east side of the road into a rock embankment. That caused it to dig into the dirt and to overturn.
Baugh was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash, police said.
