Agreed The Oakland Raiders agreed Wednesday with potential free-agent defensive tackle Richard Seymour on a two-year, $30 million contract that includes $22.5 million in guaranteed money. SI.com first reported the contract, saying Seymour would be paid $15 million each of the next two years with $7.5 million in 2012 guaranteed in a bonus.

Rewarded Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher received a $4.75 million raise following his first season as the Seminoles football coach. Fisher inked a new five-year, $13.75 million contract that runs until Jan. 4, 2016. He receives an annual pay raise of $950,000.

Promoted Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt completed the restructuring of his staff by promoting Mike Miller to offensive coordinator. Miller has been on Arizona’s staff since Whisenhunt took over in 2007, the first two years as wide receivers coach and the last two seasons as passing game coordinator.

Tagged The Kansas City Chiefs put the franchise tag on linebacker Tamba Hali, who went to the Pro Bowl this past season as the American Football Conference’s leading sacker. Delayed Washington Redskins kick returner Brandon Banks suffered a collapsed lung when he was stabbed outside a nightclub, and efforts to keep the lung inflated have delayed his discharge from the hospital in Arlington, Va. Banks’ agent, James Gould, said Banks is still expected to have a 100 percent recovery and resume offseason training in two to four weeks.

Released The Buffalo Bills released defensive lineman Marcus Stroud. Stroud was scheduled to make $10 million in base salary over the final two years of his contract, including $4.5 million next season.

Suspended Trainer Rick Dutrow has been suspended 90 days by New York racing stewards for two infractions. Dutrow was banned 60 days because he had a horse that tested positive for a painkiller and 30 days for having hypodermic needles in his Aqueduct barn.
