Festivale Italiano returns to farmers market

Liberty Lake Farmers Market celebrates its fourth annual Festivale Italiano on Saturday.

The American Italian Club of Spokane helps to host the family friendly celebration honoring American-Italian heritage with a bake sale of goodies made from their grandparents’ recipes. The day includes Italian cooking demonstrations and local pizza makers Veraci Pizza will sell Neopolitan-style pizza made on the spot in the mobile brick-oven fueled by local apple wood. More than 30 farmers sell their wares at the market.

A scale model of the Leaning Tower of Pisa is on display.

The Liberty Lake Farmers Market is held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through mid-October. Find the market at 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane, in Liberty Lake.
