Northport woman killed in car accident

A Northport woman was killed when her car hit a tree in Stevens County early this morning. Kim S. Alldredge, 61, was headed north on state Highway 25 when her 1998 Honda Accord left the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree. Alldredge was pronounced dead at the scene, the Washington State Patrol reported. The accident occurred at 5:17 a.m. on the Johnson Grade of state Highway 25, about four miles north of Northport. Alldredge was not wearing a seat belt, the WSP said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
