Four corners: Washington State Cougars

COMING UP: Tonight vs. USC, 8 (ESPNU); Saturday vs. UCLA, 8 p.m. (Fox Sports 1)

OUTLOOK: Barring an eyebrow-raising upset by either Southern California or Washington State on Saturday, today’s matchup between the Pac-12’s two last-place teams will decide the conference’s basement. Washington State is favored by 7 points against the only school with fewer Pac-12 wins. Against USC, the Cougars face their first conference opponent with a poorer scoring margin. No other Pac-12 school has a negative one, but USC is outscored by 5.3 points on average. Washington State is at 5.1. Byron Wesley leads the Trojans with 17 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game.
