Nurse assistant suspended for threats against elderly
No one hurt as woman sought help
State health officials have indefinitely suspended the license of a Spokane nursing assistant struggling with mental illness who had thoughts of killing elderly patients in her care.
No one has been hurt and the woman has sought and received psychiatric treatment after threatening to harm herself and patients receiving care in their homes.
She waived her opportunity for a hearing with the Department of Health.
She cannot be reinstated unless a psychological evaluation finds that she can practice safely.
