HELENA, Montana – Eighth-ranked Southern Oregon scored four fourth-quarter touchdowns and stunned top-ranked Carroll 45-42 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA playoffs on Saturday. Melvin Mason’s 1-yard plunge with 22 seconds left was the winner.
Raiders’ quarterback Austin Dodge threw for 470 yards and three TDs, with two coming in the final quarter. SOU (11-2) will play Saint Xavier next weekend. Dustin Rinker led the Saints (10-2) with 163 rushing yards and two TDs on 28 carries.
