American Indian Heritage Week at NIC: “I learned beading from my grandmother,” said Sami Mitchell, of Post Falls, during a beading demonstration Tuesday at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene. American Indian Heritage Week continues through Saturday at NIC. A stick game is planned today from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. A free Native American craft workshop for families will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with a live performance from Coyote and the Birds from 7 to 7:30 p.m. and 8 to 8:30 p.m. (Kathy Plonka)
