North Idaho wins Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic men’s basketball tournament; CCS third

Braian Angola Rodas scored 31 points and Brayon Blake had 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead North Idaho College to a 108-100 victory over Everett on Sunday at NIC to win the Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic championship.

Haywood Irwin added 15 points for the Cardinals, who shot 53.8 percent. Rodas was 7 of 11 and Blake 11 of 15 from the floor.

CC Spokane took third place with a 102-94 overtime win over Big Bend. Race Martin had 27 points, Levi Taylor 27, Jacob DeVries 18 and AJ Knudsen 15 for the Sasquatch.

CCS made 23 of 26 free throws, 11 more than Big Bend.

CCS outscored Big Bend 17-9 in overtime.
