Men’s basketball: Angola-Rodas pours in 39 in NIC win
Braian Angola-Rodas poured in 39 points in leading the North Idaho men’s basketball team past Columbia Basin 110-81 in a nonconference game Tuesday in Coeur d’Alene.
Angola-Rodas made 14 of 20 shots, including 6 of 8 3-pointers and all five of his free throws. He also had five rebounds, five steals and four assists. Brayon Blake added 21 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Cardinals, who led by 34 at the half.
The Hawks’ Andrew Reddout tallied a team-high 23 points. Columbia Basin fell to 4-5.
North Idaho (12-0) begins its Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule at home against Southern Idaho on Saturday.
