Ferris earns exhibition win over Brazil
Mike Ervin scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Ferris topped NBC Brazil 69-47 in an exhibition game Saturday at Ferris.
The Saxons took control with a 20-8 second-quarter run.
Murphy Butte and Max Thompson added nine points apiece for Ferris (4-7), which resumes Greater Spokane League play Tuesday at home against Mt. Spokane.
Great Northern
West Valley 63, East Valley 45: John Sage scored a game-high 16 points off the bench and Brandon Ray added 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Eagles (7-3, 2-1) shook off a sluggish start and eased past the visiting Knights (4-7, 1-2).
West Valley trailed by three after the first quarter, but outscored EV 54-33 the rest of the way. The Knights’ Tanner Jacobs tallied a team-high 15 points.
Pullman 66, Cheney 35: Micah Lagerquist had 18 points and nine rebounds and the Greyhounds (9-2, 2-1) hit nine 3-pointers in a win over the visiting Blackhawks (4-8, 0-5). Pullman’s James Miles added 11 points. J.T. Gould and Brett Wyborney scored nine points apiece for Cheney.

St. George’s 64, Davenport 49: Issac Werkman made 6 of 7 free throws and scored 18 points to guide the Dragons (8-6, 4-4) to a win over the visiting Gorillas (3-10, 1-8). Liam Sienko added 13 points and five assists for St. George’s. Davenport’s Austin Zeller led all scorers with 25 points.
Colfax 57, Wilbur-Creston 52: Kasey Johnson had 17 points and 10 rebounds and the Bulldogs (12-2, 7-1) withstood the Wildcats’ (10-3, 5-3) spirited fourth-quarter rally to win in Colfax. Wilbur-Creston’s Nick Densley tallied a team-high 15 points.
Tekoa-Rosalia 52, Kettle Falls 48: Cooper Angelo made six 3-pointers and scored 28 points and the Timberwolves (1-12, 1-7) hit enough free throws down the stretch to get past the Bulldogs (0-12, 0-8) in Rosalia. Kettle Falls’ Cole Wren hit five 3s and scored a team-high 20 points.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 61, Springdale 30: Jacob Saetre had 11 points and six assists and the Broncos (9-3, 6-2) routed the Chargers (5-8, 3-6) in Ritzville. Dylan Becker also had 11 points for LRS and Wyatt Roettger chipped in nine points and eight rebounds. John Lynch tallied a team-high 11 points for Springdale, which was held to 22 percent shooting from the field.

Garfield-Palouse 67, Pomeroy 46: Tyler Thurman led four players in double figures with 18 points and the Vikings (11-0, 6-0) took over sole possession of first place with a win over the visiting Pirates (10-2, 5-1).
Matt Holbrook added 15 points for Garfield-Palouse and Gabe Cocking and Cole Sanderson scored 10 apiece.

Odessa-Harrington 65, Curlew 59: Shane Whitaker made 10 of 12 fourth-quarter free throws and finished with 30 points to guide the Titans (6-6) past the Cougars (10-3) in Odessa.
Odessa-Harrington’s Carsen Weber added 20 points and Sam Schafer chipped in 12. Curlew’s Gunner Brown tallied a team-high 17 points and Coby Grumbach added 13.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 53, Northport 50: Dallas Isaak scored 17 points and made several clutch free throws down the stretch to send the Warriors (9-2) past the Mustangs (5-6) in Coulee City. Northport’s Vithor Martin tallied a team-high 15 points.
Wellpinit 84, Inchelium 71: The Redskins (8-3) hit nine 3-pointers and opened the game on a 15-0 run in a win over the host Hornets (1-7). Wellpinit’s Brandon Flett hit six 3s and scored 23 points and Cedric Brown added 19.
Quentin Holford led the way for Inchelium with 22 points, six steals and five assists.
Republic 57, Valley Christian 24: Angelo Rivera led four players in double figures with 14 points and the Tigers (6-4) cruised past the visiting Panthers (2-8).
Republic’s Taylor Campbell scored 12 points, Trevor Remien added 11 and Aaron Fritts chipped in 10. Valley Christian’s Lucas Pittoti tallied a team-high 10 points.
Cusick 68, Columbia 51: Cameron Bauer scored 20 of his game-high 23 points in the decisive first half and the Panthers (7-4) eased past the visiting Lions (0-11). Alec Bluff added 17 points and 15 rebounds for Cusick, which made 24 of 28 free throws.
