Post Falls knocked out by Capital

Justin Saunders scored a game-high 26 points and Capital surged ahead in the second quarter and beat Post Falls 70-52 in a 5A state play-in game Saturday in Grangeville.
The win gave the Cougars a spot in the state tournament. The Trojans (16-9) were eliminated.
Post Falls led by two after the first quarter, but were outscored 21-8 in the second and couldn’t make up the ground after halftime.
Max McCullough led Post Falls with 21 points, Zach Hillman had 13 and Wyatt Millsap added 11.
