Four corners: Idaho

Coming up: Thursday vs. Northern Arizona, 7 p.m.; Saturday vs. Southern Utah, 7.

Outlook: Idaho coach Don Verlin spent 10 minutes with his team going over the 14-point drubbing it received at Eastern Washington. The Vandals are taking their two road wins out of three to start the Big Sky Conference schedule and moving forward now with nine of the final 15 at home. Northern Arizona should be an expected win, considering its last win over Southern Utah was its first against a Division I squad. But the Lumberjacks played Boise State, Gonzaga and Washington State, among others as well as taking Montana to double overtime before falling. A home sweep would have Idaho on pace to match its best start to conference play under Verlin. Idaho started 5-1 in the WAC in 2011.
