North Idaho man sexually abused 102-year-old woman

A jury found Phillip Ray Smalley, 50, guilty of sexually abusing a 102-year-old woman Friday.

The assaults occurred between July and August last year while Smalley worked at the Rose Terrace Assisted Living facility in Spirit Lake, where the victim lived, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office.

Smalley is facing a maximum sentence of up to life in prison when he is sentenced on May 2.
