Jake Owen and George Thorogood and the Destroyers are among the musicians headed to the lake this summer.

The annual Festival at Sandpoint made an unprecedented sneak-peek announcement Friday, sharing a portion of its lineup for the 35th musicfest on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille.

Owen and Thorogood will be the Saturday headliners. Owen is slated for Aug. 5. Thorogood is scheduled for Aug. 12.

Country star Owen was named American Country Music Awards’ breakthrough artist of the year in 2012. His hits include “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “The One That Got Away” and “Anywhere with You.”

Thorogood, a classic rock icon, is best known for his hit “Bad to the Bone.” Other hits include “Move it on Over,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” and “Who Do You Love?”

Thorogood will be joined by The White Buffalo, aka American singer-songwriter Jake Smith. (Smith will also be in Spokane on May 9 on tour with Flogging Molly at the Knitting Factory.)

Tickets for the Saturday shows at the Festival at Sandpoint are $74.95 and go on sale online Saturday at www.festivalatsandpoint.com.

A handful of early-bird season passes remain – $249 for all eight nights of music. But those are expected to sell out quickly. Friday, there were fewer than 100 left.

This year’s festival runs Aug. 3 through 13 at War Memorial Field, 855 Ontario St. The full lineup will be announced April 29.

Tickets are also available by phone at (208) 265-4554 or (888) 265-4554, or in person at the festival office, 525 Pine St. in Sandpoint.
