Crimson and Gray Game defensive player of the game: Daniel Ekuale

Daniel Ekuale made one sack in 2016. He doubled that total on Saturday, wrecking havoc in the offensive backfield from his nose tackle position.
By breaking through the middle of the Gray offensive line and putting pressure on the opposing quarterbacks, Ekuale played a key role in the Crimson team’s victory.
At 6-foot-3, 297 pounds, Ekuale is the player best equipped to play in the center of WSU’s defensive line, occupying blockers and spearheading the defense’s attack against run plays.
Ekuale showed that he can do that and still be an effective pass-rusher, making the WSU defense all the more potent.
