Police investigating bodies found in Coeur d’Alene apartment

Coeur d’Alene Police are investigating two bodies found in an apartment Thursday evening.

Someone called police around 4:50 p.m. to report a bad odor at an apartment at 2827 N. Julia St., said Det. Jared Reneau. Police entered the apartment and found two people dead. “The occupants of the apartment had not been seen in over a week,” Reneau said.

The officers left the apartment after checking to make sure no one else was there. As of Thursday evening, police were still waiting for a search warrant before re-entering the apartment and beginning their investigation.
