Whitworth’s Elijah Pittser fifth at Spring Invite golf

Elijah Pittser finished fifth at even par to lead Whitworth to a third-place finish in the Whitworth Men’s Spring Invite played at Wildhorse Resort GC in Pendleton, Oregon, on Sunday.

Pittser fired rounds of 74 and 70 and finished 11 strokes back of winner Trent Jones of Willamette, which won the team title at 16 under, 19 strokes better than Linfield with Whitworth third in the five-team field at 14 over.
