Chronic Tacos opens in downtown Spokane

Chronic Tacos has opened in downtown Spokane.

The fast-casual Mexican food restaurant opened Nov. 29 in the Bennett Block on West Main Avenue between the Carhartt store and Rocky Rococo pizzeria and across from the Parkade.

The California-based chain, founded in 2002, has nearly 50 locations, mostly in its home state. There are others in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada and North Carolina as well as Canada.

This is the chain’s first location in Eastern Washington and the second in Washington state, following a recent store opening in Lakewood.

Jason Acuña, a professional skateboarder and star of the TV series “Jackass” who’s also known as “Wee Man,” is slated to be in town for the restaurant’s grand opening in mid-January.

Chronic Tacos is at 524 W. Main Ave. Call (509) 315-5881. On the web: www.chronictacos.com.
