Spokane Chiefs send six to NHL camps this week

The Spokane Chiefs will get a bit younger this week as six veteran players will depart for National Hockey League rookie tournaments and training camps on Wednesday.
Chiefs Headed to NHL Camps/Rookie Tournaments
- F Hudson Elynuik (’97): Carolina Hurricanes (2016 third round)
- D Tyson Helgesen (’97): Calgary Flames (undrafted invite)
- F Kailer Yamamoto (’98): Edmonton (2017 first round)
- F Jaret Anderson-Dolan (’99): Los Angeles Kings (2017 second round)
- F Jake McGrew (’99): San Jose Sharks (2017 sixth round)
- G Dawson Weatherill (’99): San Jose Sharks (undrafted invite)
All six players will miss the Chiefs’ three preseason games this weekend. Spokane faces Portland on Thursday at 3 p.m., Seattle on Friday at 3 p.m. and Tri-City on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. All three games will take place at Kennewick’s Toyota Center.
