Girls basketball: Genesis Wilkinson scores 22 points and East Valley beats Cheney

Genesis Wilkinson scored 22 points and visiting East Valley (6-1 GNL) beat Cheney (2-4) 60-48 on Tuesday in a Great Northern League matchup.

Hailee Huff and Maggie Smith scored 11 points apiece for Cheney.

West Valley 61, Pullman 55: Tori Ivins scored 21 points and the Eagles (3-4 GNL) beat the visiting Greyhounds (0-6). Kelsey Nestergard led Pullman with 13 points.

Northeast 1A

Medical Lake 65, Riverside 31: Jayda Noble scored 17 points and the Cardinals (8-0 NEA) downed the visiting Rams (0-8). Brittney Nortz led the Rams with 11.

Lakeside (WA) 66, Chewelah 39: Hallie Jensen scored 23 points with nine rebounds and the Eagles (7-1 NEA) beat the visiting Cougars (3-5). Alyssa Fitzgerald led Chewelah with 11 points.

Freeman 53, Newport 47: Anna Chisholm and Jordyn Goldsmith had 13 points apiece and the visiting Scotties (4-4 NEA) defeated the Grizzlies (4-4). Jocelin Nenema scored 16 points for Newport.

Deer Park 41, Colville 35: Hava Fairbanks scored 17 points and the Stags (3-5 NEA) defeated the visiting Indians (3-5). Riley Merritt scored eight points to pace Colville.

Northeast 2B

Liberty 58, Wilbur-Creston 39: Maisie Burnham scored 27 points and the visiting Lancers (8-2 NE2B) beat the Wildcats (2-7). McKenzie Arden led Wilbur-Creston with 17 points.

Northeast 1B

Selkirk 61, Cusick 42: Gabi Rick scored 25 points and the Rangers (11-0 NE1B) defeated the visiting Panthers (2-8). Gracie StrangeOwl paced Cusick with 17 points.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 66, Odessa 31: Gabi Isaak scored 24 points and the Warriors (9-1 NE1B) defeated the visiting Tigers (2-8). McKennah Davison scored seven points to pace Odessa.

Curlew 90, Republic 17: Korin Baker scored 32 points and the visiting Cougars (9-3 NE1B) defeated the Tigers (1-11). Kailee Rittel paced Republic with 11 points.

Inchelium 61, Northport 41: Meika Heath netted 24 points and the Hornets (8-2 NE1B) beat the visiting Mustangs (3-7). Hailey Young and Isabelle Bair each scored 11 points for Northport.

Valley Christian 45, Columbia 5: Phoebe Trigsted scored 17 points and the Panthers (5-4 NE1B) defeated the visiting Lions (0-10). Lexi Nelson led Columbia with three points.

Oakesdale 52, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 28: Logan Reed scored 16 points and the visiting Nighthawks (5-3 SE1B) beat the Eagles (2-6). Drew Curtis-Brewer led St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with 10 points.

Northwest Christian 69, Genesis Prep 51: Natalie Smith scored 26 points and the Crusaders defeated the visiting Jaguars. Bella Murekatete led Genesis Prep with 21 points.

Garfield-Palouse 44, Troy 25: Katie Arrasmith scored 23 points and the visiting Vikings beat the Trojans. Jordyne Frederickson led Troy with seven points.

Coeur d’Alene 55, Lakeland 21: Rey Louden scored 23 points and the visiting Vikings beat the Hawks in a nonleague game. Mel Loutzenhiser led Lakeland with five points.

Timberlake 53, Moscow 37: Shelby Starr scored 15 points and the Tigers beat the visiting Bears in a nonleague game. Gracey Meyer led Moscow with 13 points.

Kootenai 38, Wallace 33: Madison Napierala scored 12 points and the Warriors defeated the visiting Miners in a nonleague game. Maggie Howard led Wallace with 16 points.
