From the Ashes: pitmasters from around the country come to Coeur d’Alene to barbecue
Pitmasters from around the country will gather in Coeur d’Alene on July 14 for “From the Ashes.”
The event features brisket, pork butt and ribs as well as a variety of side dishes. Beer and wine will also be available.
The six pitmasters are: Anthony DiBernardo from Swig & Swine in South Carolina, Jean-Paul Bourgeois of Blue Smoke in New York, Laura Loomis of Two Bros. BBQ Market in Texas, Jason Dady of the Jason Dady Restaurant Group in Texas, Daryl Kunzi of Drummin’ Up BBQ in Idaho, and Brad Peugh of Bohica Smoke in Idaho.
Tickets are $29 for adults 21 and over, $25 for those ages 13 to 20, and $15 for children 5 to 12. Family packages – for two adults and two children – are available for $83.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kootenai Humane Society.
The event takes place at Settlers Creek, 5803 W. Riverview Drive in Coeur d’Alene, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 14. Call (208) 261-2210.
