Washington Huskies baseball to face Cal State Fullerton in program’s first Super Regional
SEATTLE – After earning its first berth into the Super Regional, the Washington baseball team found out Tuesday who stands between them and a spot in the College World Series.
The Huskies (33-23) will travel to Fullerton, California to take on Cal State Fullerton in the best-of-three series, beginning on Friday at 11 a.m.
Game two is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, while a third game (if necessary) will be played at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Washington won its regional bracket last weekend in Conway, South Carolina. UW is seeking its first appearance in the College World Series.
The Titans hold an 8-0 all-time advantage over the Huskies. The teams last played in 2011 in Fullerton.
Friday’s game will air on ESPN2, while the second and third games will show on ESPNU.
