Spokane Chiefs sign first-round draft selection Graham Sward

Graham Sward, the 17th overall selection in this year’s Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, signed a standard player agreement with the Spokane Chiefs, the team announced Thursday.

Sward, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound defenseman from Abbotsford, British Columbia, totaled two goals and 16 assists in 26 games last season with the Yale Hockey Academy Bantam Prep.
