Prep girls soccer: Central Valley advances to quarterfinal with win over Gonzaga Prep

Central Valley 4, Gonzaga Prep 2: Kailyn Labrosse scored twice and the visiting Bears (17-1-1) defeated the Bullpups (14-6-1) in a Washington 4A State quarterfinal.

CV advances to a state semifinal on Friday at 6 p.m. at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

Marissa Bankey and Maggie Ames added second-half goals for the Bears. Kyah Le and Olivia Lauffer scored for the Bullpups.

Deer Park 2, Lakeside 1 (SO): Madison Sellars had 17 saves, including the winning save in the shootout, and the Stags (16-2-1) defeated the visiting Eagles (16-5-0) in a Washington 1A State quarterfinal.

Deer Park advances to a state semifinal on Friday at 2 p.m. at Shoreline Stadium.

Freshman Carmen Kiewert scored in the 57th minute for Deer Park while Lexi Torak evened it in the 69th minute for Lakeside.
