Prep boys soccer: Colton Hodgen nets overtime winner for Cheney

Cheney 4, West Valley 3 (OT): Colton Hodgen netted the winner four minutes into overtime and the visiting Blackhawks (7-0-1-0) edged the Eagles (0-6-1-0) on Thursday. Tyler Dixon scored two first-half goals for Cheney while Noah Schorzman’s penalty kick in the 80th minute sent it to overtime.

Northeast A

Lakeside 3, Medical Lake 1: What happened: Ethan Williams scored twice, Dillon Dennis had two assists and the Eagles (11-0-0-0) beat the Cardinals (4-4-0-1) in the regular-season finale for both teams. Lakeside has won back-to-back Northeast A League titles and extended its win streak to 14 games.

Deer Park 3, Riverside 1: Ian Eickmeyer scored an early goal and added an assist and the Stags (6-5-0-1) beat the visiting Rams (4-6-1-1). Chase Sanchez added two assists for Deer Park.

Northwest Christian 6, Newport 0: Sam Thomas and Ronny Almeida scored two goals apiece and the Grizzlies (3-6-1-1) blanked the visiting Crusaders (0-9-0-0).
