Pedestrian in stable condition after being hit by car near Shadle Park

A Spokane man is in stable condition after being hit by a car near Shadle Park on Sunday evening.
Just before 6 p.m., Spokane police responded to reports that a man had been hit by a car in the intersection of Alberta Street and Heroy Avenue.
Police said the driver was going south on Alberta and didn’t see the pedestrian.
When first responders arrived, the man was conscious and talking before being transported to a hospital. He was listed in stable condition, according to police. Police did not know whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk.
The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, who said neither speed nor impairment appeared to be factors.
