Etailz names Kunal Chopra as new CEO

Trans World Entertainment Corp. named Kunal Chopra as CEO of Spokane Valley-based etailz, replacing Josh Neblett who departed the company in March.

Chopra – who will be responsible for operations and performance of etailz – has more than 15 years of executive experience with Microsoft, Amazon and Groupon, according to a Trans World Entertainment news release.

Chopra, in his professional career, has led organizational transformation, new business and product development, strategy formulation and execution and product launch at scale, according to the release.

“I am extremely pleased to have someone with Kunal’s breadth and depth of experience and leadership join our team as etailz CEO,” Trans World Entertainment CEO Mike Feurer said in a statement. “Kunal brings a unique combination of technological expertise, entrepreneurial character and operational excellence. Further, he has a demonstrated track-record of accomplishment at some of the largest, most dynamic and well-respected companies in the world.”

Etailz conducted a nationwide search for candidates and selected Chopra based on his track record of leadership, said Derrick Oliver, senior talent and culture specialist for etailz.

Etailz, a third party seller on marketplaces such as Amazon, was acquired by Trans World in 2016 for $75 million.

Etailz was founded in 2008 by Neblett, his wife Sarah, and angel investor Tom Simpson. The company moved to new 40,000 square foot headquarters in Spokane Valley at 2818 N. Sullivan Road last year.
