Gonzaga women’s rowing takes fourth in varsity eight race on second day of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Both the Gonzaga women’s rowing varsity eight and second varsity eight boats finished fourth in their five-boat C/D semifinal races on the second day of the NCAA Championships on Saturday at the Indianapolis Rowing Center.
The Bulldogs’ varsity eight boat crossed the finish line in 6:54.132, nearly 10 seconds behind first-place Harvard (6:45.012).
GU’s varsity four boat finished fifth in its C/D semifinal with a time of 8:21.531. Wisconsin won the heat in 7:45.587.
All three Gonzaga boats will compete in the final session Sunday, including the varsity four and second varsity eight in the D finals.
