50 Hour Slam for 2020 is postponed until spring 2021
The 50 Hour Slam for 2020, the annual event’s 10th anniversary, has been postponed to spring 2021, founder Juan A. Mas wrote in an email this morning. Here is his correspondence:
Slam Partners and Community Partners,
I hope this email finds you and your family safe and healthy.
With the COVID-19 pandemic still very much a worldwide health crisis, the state of this year’s Slam has become clear. Sadly, the 50 Hour Slam for 2020 is postponed until spring of 2021.
This was a very hard decision for us, but we feel it was the best decision to ensure the health and safety of all our participants.
The Slam has always been about gathering as a film community to celebrate the artistic talent that makes Spokane special, and we wanted to ensure that was not compromised for our 10th Slam.
We do plan to create social media events that will allow people to stay involved with the Slam this year and help support the other awesome art events in our community.
We hope that we can count on your support in 2021. Stay safe. Stay positive.
Good thoughts,
Juan A. Mas
