Safeway, Albertsons holding job fair Tuesday

Safeway and Albertsons are hiring for hundreds of store positions in the region. 

Job seekers are encouraged to visit any Safeway or Albertsons store in Eastern Washington and North Idaho 12-6 p.m. Tuesday for open interviews.

Candidates should apply online at careersatsafeway.com or Albertsons.com prior to the job fair, according to a company release. 

Positions are available in deli, bakery, produce, fuel station and customer service departments. Stores are also hiring DriveUp & Go shoppers, cashiers and courtesy clerks, the release said. 

Employees will receive paid training, flexible scheduling, store discounts and paid vacation and holidays.

The Safeway Albertsons Seattle Division operates 217 stores in Washington, North Idaho and Alaska.
