Ranch milkshake? Great Wolf Lodge goes viral for crazy concoction

Great Wolf Lodge, one of the most popular family-friendly resorts in the U.S., has announced its limited-time Ranch Milkshake.
The “sweet and tangy” new addition will be available at any of the resort’s locations from March 5 to May 20. The Pacific Northwest’s only location is in Grand Mound, Washington.
The shake is blended with “vanilla ice cream and Ranch dressing, garnished with crispy chicken, carrots, celery, whipped cream, and a sweet, salty lime rim,” according to a news release.
Great Wolf Lodge’s new milkshake is being released in honor of National Ranch Day, which is recognized on March 10. That day you can get it for for $3.10. After, it will be listed on the menu for $7.99.

Great Wolf Lodge’s concoction sparked strong reactions from people on social media.
“I’m genuinely bothered this is not right,” one person reacted on X, formerly Twitter. Another user added, “That is wrong on every level in time and space.”
One person wrote, “Getting ready to puke now,” to which Great Wolf Lodge responded with a laughing emoji, “That ranch shake will do that to you; the vibes alone are enough to flip a stomach.”
When someone asked “why?” the resort chimed in again: “Honestly? That shake feels like chaos in a cup, ‘Why?!’ is the only correct reaction.”
Even R&B legend Dionne Warwick commented on a post mentioning the milkshake and said, “Just in the kitchen wasting food.”
Other companies have created desserts with the popular condiment in the past. In 2023, Hidden Valley Ranch released an ice cream flavor.
