Education Notebook: Rogers’ 1976 class reunion collecting donations through Treasure Chest Fund

The Rogers High School class of 1976 is celebrating its 40th reunion by giving back through the Treasure Chest Fund. On Saturday, the class will accept donations of canned food at Spike’s, 718 E. Francis Ave., beginning at 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, donations in the form of cash, check or gift cards to local stores will be accepted at a potluck picnic at Sontag Park from noon to 3 p.m.

Spokane Valley City Council to tour pot businesses

The Spokane Valley City Council is going on a tour of marijuana businesses during a special council meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday. The meeting starts at City Hall then heads to Grow Op Farm at 2611 N. Woodruff Road and Locals Canna House at 9616 E. Sprague Ave.
