North Spokane Library to host Smithsonian exhibit

The North Spokane Library will be closed Monday to prepare the Smithsonian traveling exhibit “Exploring Human Origins: What Does It Mean to Be Human?” The exhibit will open Tuesday, running through Feb. 2. It features educational panels, interactive kiosks, videos and hands-on displays.

City to implement holiday schedule

City offices and services will be closed or delayed because of the holidays. Spokane City Hall will close at noon Thursday and Dec. 31, and will be closed Friday and Jan. 1, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. Spokane Public Libraries will be closed Thursday, Friday and Jan. 1. The Spokane Municipal Court will also be closed both Fridays.

The Verve: Artist’s work inspired by her world travels, reflect human condition
